In training

We put our new puppy, June, in dog training. A six-week course. She’s been an absolute menace around the house. She ate 3 giant cookies that were sitting on the counter the other day. Body slams the 2-year-old on the regular. It’s chaos sometimes.

Within the first 20 minutes of dog training I realized something…

June knows how to sit. She knows how to listen. Stay. Wait. Leave things.

She knows all of it.

She’s actually a pretty good dog. Well behaved. Focused.

What I realized is this dog training is for us. We paid someone to train us on how to take care of a dog.

It’s a good reminder that sometimes the problem isn’t always someone else. It very well could be you — well, in this case, me. I’m the problem. It’s me.
